Quality control

ViaPress pays attention to the quality control of our orders. That is why we have acquired measuring equipment.

The exposure process is controlled with the X-Rite densitometer. Every day the linearity of the imagesetter and the optical density of the exposed plates are checked. The optical density is maintained at a guaranteed level. Once a week during a technological break we do a complete imagesetter calibration.

AGFA Sherpa 24m and Sherpa 44m digital proofers are calibrated with the Xrite DTP-41 spectrophotometer. The entire system is controlled with ICC profiles. Our digital proof RIP contains two types of calibration:

• simulating AGFA dry proof calibration
• simulating 3M Matchprint calibration

Colour tests are the basis of the calibration system. They are printed on the proofing paper and compared to the IT8 standard in the Color Tune Pro program.
With Xrite DTP-41 spectrophotometer we calibrate:

• proofer linearity
• optical density of individual CMYK colours printed on the proofing paper
